What is Sakhiy?
Sakhiy (سخي) is a free donation platform that connects donors with people in need. You can donate items you no longer need or receive for free what you need.
Is it really free?
Yes! Sakhiy is 100% free. There are no financial transactions, no commissions, no hidden fees. Registration, posting listings, and using all features are completely free.
Who can use Sakhiy?
Everyone! Whether you are an individual or an organization, you can use Sakhiy to give or receive items. You just need to create a free account.
Account & Settings
How do I create an account?
Click on "Sign Up" at the top of the page. You can register with your email or via your Google account. Registration only takes a few seconds.
Is my personal information secure?
Yes, your data is protected in accordance with Algerian law 18-07 on personal data protection. We never share your information with third parties without your consent.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, you can delete your account at any time from the settings. All your data will be permanently deleted.
Posting Listings
Can I sell on Sakhiy?
No. Sakhiy is exclusively a FREE donation platform. No sales are allowed. Sales listings will be removed.
How many photos can I add?
You can add up to 5 photos per listing. Quality photos increase your chances of finding a recipient quickly.
Will my listing be visible immediately?
Listings are usually approved within a few minutes after automatic verification. In some cases, manual validation may take up to 24 hours.
Can I edit my listing after publication?
Yes, you can edit your listing at any time from your dashboard, as long as it has not been donated.
How long does my listing stay online?
Your listing stays online until you mark it as "Donated" or delete it. Listings inactive for more than 90 days may be automatically archived.
Reservations & Donations
How do I reserve an item?
Contact the donor via messaging to express your interest. After mutual agreement, the donor can reserve the item for you.
Is the reservation guaranteed?
A reservation shows the donor's commitment but is not a legal contract. We encourage all users to respect their commitments to maintain community trust.
Where does the item handover take place?
The handover location is determined by mutual agreement between the donor and recipient. We recommend choosing a public and safe place.
Do I have to pay delivery fees?
Sakhiy does not charge any fees. The handover arrangements (delivery, pickup) are to be agreed upon between the donor and recipient. Some donors may offer delivery, others request pickup on site.
Security & Moderation
How do I avoid scams?
Some security tips:
- Never share banking information
- Prefer exchanges via the platform's messaging
- Meet in public places
- Check the donor's profile (ratings, history)
- Report any suspicious behavior
What should I do if I'm scammed?
Immediately report the user and listing via the report button. Also contact our team via the Contact page. In serious cases, do not hesitate to contact the authorities.
Is my contact information publicly visible?
No. Your email and phone remain private. You choose when to share them via messaging after establishing initial contact.
Technical Issues
I can't publish my listing
Check that:
- All required fields are filled
- Your photos are in JPG/PNG format and < 5 MB
- Your email account is verified
- Your internet connection is stable
If the problem persists, contact us.
I'm not receiving notifications
Check your notification settings in your profile. Make sure notifications are not disabled and check your spam folder for emails.
I forgot my password
Click on "Forgot password?" on the login page. You will receive an email with a link to reset your password.
